training.pngSome schedules are busier than others. That’s just how life goes. On top of that, no two dogs are alike. Why would you want them to be? Everything that you love (and sometimes dislike) about your dog is what makes them so unique. Whether your schedule calls for it or if your dog needs accelerated training, Board and Train is available at GDT.

Dog Boot Camp, or Board and Train, is a training option in which your dog stays with us for the duration of training. The duration of your dog's training will be based on your family and dog’s needs. Your trainer will make a professional recommendation during your consultation.

In Board and Train, we do all the heavy lifting to fix problems and get your dog up to speed. Whether we're working on a severe behavioral issue or training for obedience, this focused training option often provides the most comprehensive and reliable results.

Our Board and Train programs are immersive experiences for your dog designed to empower your relationship with your dog. Board and Train requires owners to participate in education classes and private lessons with their dog during their stay with us. These classes and lessons during the dog's stay are essential for a successful transition back home.

When it comes to dog training, time is of the essence. It is always easier to teach good behavior than it is to forget bad habits.

Rehabilitation for human and/or dog aggression

There is a difference between reactivity and true aggression

If your dog is reactive or has possibly bitten during a stressful situation, the 5 Week Board and Train is probably for you. However, if your dog has truly attacked humans or dogs, they will need more time and a different approach. There is no hard timeline for aggression rehab. We will keep your dog until he/she is ready. We will take it slow to ensure your dog, our pack dogs, and our staff is safe. Typical aggression rehabilitation is between 6-18 weeks, but can be longer. It includes a minimum of 4 hours of private coaching. 2-hour Dog Behavior Basics education class and your trainer will bring your dog home for a 2 hour transition lesson.
